A good quality German Shepherd will probably cost you more than 600 $'s. it will be very worth it to save your money and buy a more expensive puppy,where the parents have at least one title and are health guaranteed, have hips/elbows cleared (VERY important). please do your homework before getting a german shepherd. know the breed before getting one. that is the best thing you can do. no question is a stupid one, ask anything you feel uneasy about! the breeder should be asking just as many questions as you are, and be concerned as to where the puppy is going. dont count on the first puppy you see because ';its soo cute'; ALL puppies are cute. but make sure you look passed just the cuteness. If you want good quality you are going to have to pay alot more than that!
Rather than buy a pup blind off of some website, my advice is for you to contact GSD Rescue. NOT necessarily to get a dog from them, but to ask them for references for reputable breeders near you.





If you want a QUALITY GSD, you need to be able to trust your breeder. Sorry, but simply having an ad on the net doesn't mean the breeder is reputable. The Rescue people should be able to help steer you in the right direction.
A high quality German Shepherd will run you another $300. Find a reputable and responsible breeder via the breed club ( http://www.gsdca.org ). Never buy a dog of any type online. It's very risky and irresponsible. If you can't afford a well-bred, sound and healthy pup from a breeder, go to http://www.petfinder.com and adopt a puppy.
